FIELD: chemical and pharmaceutical industry. SUBSTANCE: ointment has following composition, %: fluocynolone acetonide, 0.02-0.03; 1,2-propylene glycol, 4.7-4.8, and base comprising vaseline, lanolin and ceresine. Ointment is prepared by dissolving fluocynolone acetonide in propylene glycol, followed by pouring solution thus-obtained into filtered, heated base produced by fusing together its components. Resulting mixture is subjected to stirring, thermostating and cooling under conditions of reduced stirring rate. ointment possesses required corticosteroid activity and can be used for long periods without interfering with functions of liver, kidneys and spleen.
