<p>A method of forming a laminate for construction units and particularly laminates of fibre reinforced plastic, includes the step of locating a core (10) between a pair of laminae (14, 16), the core including a plurality of transverse openings such as a tesselated structure joined at intersections, permitting passage of an adhesive (30) therethrough for joining the laminae.
