FLAME-RETARDANT POLYCARBONATE RESIN COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF, AND FORMED ARTICLE

A flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition which comprises (A) 95 to 99.99 mass % of a polycarbonate resin and (B) 0.01 to 5 mass % of an aromatic vinyl resin having an acid salt group formed, for example, by neutralizing an acid group on the aromatic ring, and containing an inorganic metal salt in an amount of 5 mass % or less; a method for producing the resin composition which comprises providing a solution of the component (B) of a concentration of 10 to 60 mass %, scattering the solution of (B) onto the component (A), and kneading the resultant mixture; and a formed article produced from the resin composition. The flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition contains a relatively small amount of a flame retardancy imparting component, and exhibits high flame retardancy and excellent recyclability and anti-static property while retaining physical properties inherent in a polycarbonate resin, and further is excellent in appearance.
