Low temperature grinding of asbestos cement waste

In a method of producing environment-friendly materials from asbestos fibre-containing cement-bonded waste materials at heavily contaminated clearance sites, the pre-crushed waste is treated with the aid of a non-fixed grinding machine by mechanical, tribomechanical and/or tribochemical comminution at low temperature down to a mean particle diameter distribution of about 1 micron. Preferably, the grinding material temperature does not exceed 25 (preferably about -30) deg C.
