The invention relates to a method for preparing sheets of glass with a view to their lamination. This method consists in doming the sheets of glass by causing them to advance, one following the other, along a curved trajectory, then in cooling them by passing them between blowing caissons, and then in dispatching them in batches to the assembly station. A further subject of the invention is laminated glazing whose sheets of glass, in the central zone, have a core compressive stress of between 1 and 50 MPa.
