<p>An invention pertains to the field of mechanical engineering, in particular concerning the four-stroke internal combustion engines. Its goal is a decrease of engine's weight and provision of new possibilities for arrangement of engine units. This has been achieved by positioning of cylinders (5) axially one above another, leaving open space in the heads of cylinders (1) for the movement of piston core (6), which enables movement of mutually immovable pistons (4), and by providing lubricating and/or cooling channels (7) in the pistons and piston core. The engine unit with cylinders and pistons containing two pistons and four combustion chambers is shown on fig.1.</p> |
