<p>FIELD: printing industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves feeding printed products one by one or in groups to first cutting mechanism (knife) movable together with printed products, with cutting mechanism and printed products being in contact along edge adapted to be cut off; feeding printed products adjacent to second cutting mechanism (knife). First and second cutting mechanisms cooperate to cut printed products along predetermined edge. Apparatus has set of printed product conveying units movable in circular path and provided with countercutters, device for positioning edge of printed products relative to countercutter of printed product conveying units. Cutting mechanism has knife and counterknife. Knife is arranged in fixed position for engagement with counterknife of conveying unit.
