The control element has a membrane socket and an electromagnetic switch over valve for switching operating or atmospheric pressure in the membrane socket. The membrane socket and the switch-over body are formed in one piece and are rotationally symmetrical in the form of a common plastic body (9) in which plastic magnet coil - terminal electrodes are arranged. The magnet coil (10) is wound directly on this plastic body and is connected to the electrodes (11). A magnetic circuit formed of a yoke (12), magnet core (14) and pole tube (13) is formed on the plastic body (9). These components are connected via a feedback plate. A housing (28) with a plastic exterior surrounds and seals all of the components either completely or partly.
