The invention concerns a flat textile structure for cleaning purposes with an all-over cut pile of fibres of different degrees of fineness projecting from a carrier material (12). The cut pile has fibre regions (2; 4; 6, 7; 9, 10) which consist of a plurality of individual fibres whose average degree of fineness differs from the average fineness of fibres in surrounding regions (1).
