This method uses a machine for loading the nuclear reactor core, comprising: a control carriage (5); a main telescoping mast (7, 8), fixed by its upper end to the carriage (5), and bearing at its lower end a grab (9) for grasping an assembly (16); an auxiliary telescoping mast (10) fixed to the carriage (5), and parallel to the main mast (7, 8). The method consists in equipping the main mast (7, 8) or the auxiliary telescoping mast (10) with one or several sensors (17, 19), capable of picking up the signals moving towards/from the assemblies (16), the return signals which are picked up being processed by a processing unit capable of determining in real or quasi-real time the condition of the fuel assemblies being investigated. |
