Electromagnetic control valve for exhaust gas feedback in IC engine e.g. diesel engine

The control valve has a valve rod (8) fitting through a valve rod guide sleeve (13) and acted on by an electromagnetic armature for movement against a closure spring, to provide a connection between an exhaust gas inlet and an outlet (9) coupled to the engine air intake (10), controlled by respective valve plates (6,7). The valve rod guide sleeve is enclosed by an annular extension (14) of the adjacent valve plate, for protecting it from heat and dirt.
