<p>The invention relates to a device in connection with an electrostatic precipitator (1) for cleaning a gaseous medium from particles that are present in said medium, said device including an ionizing portion (2), separating portion (4), electrostatic plates (5, 6) and at least one corona wire (3). The ionizing portion (2) and the separating portion (4) are integrated in such a way that the corona wire (3) is structured, in the shape of e.g. carbon fibres, at the edge (7) of the chargeable plates (5) that alternating are located between earthed plates (6), said carbon fibres serving as ionizing points or ionizing wire and being applicable upon said edge (7) via a suitable adhesive, and that when a high voltage is applied to the edge or to the plate, said edge or plate is charged and the particles that are present in the medium are driven towards the earthed plates (6) to be deposited upon said plates.</p> |
