The turbocharger has a turbine housing, with gas inlet channel. This has a blow-out aperture, with connected by-pass (6), and flap valve. The flap (11) is fastened to a lever (12) fixed to a shaft (13), and connected to an actuator (14), outside a bypass housing (7). The shaft is held in the housing on either side of the lever, and the bearing next to the actuator is formed by a hollow screw (18), through which the shaft passes. Between lever bearing and screw, the shaft has a radial flange (21), which is pressed by gas pressure against the end face (22) of the screw. USE - Turbocharger for IC engine. |
