The brake disk (1) has alternating protrusions (4) and recesses (5) in rings about the rotation axis (6) made of the ferromagnetic material of the disk and forming a sensor or pulse ring at a radial distance from the active braking friction region (3) for detecting the revolution rate. The protrusions and recesses are arranged in the peripheral edge region of a central aperture (2) concentric with the rotation axis. The heat flow between this region and the active braking friction regions is reduced by openings (8) and/or thinning of the material with a uniform peripheral distribution.
