PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact planing boat having a miniaturized engine and improved in maintenance thereof. SOLUTION: In this compact planing boat 1, the output of a crank shaft 18 arranged in a crank case 13 is taken out through a drive shaft 20 arranged in parallel with the crank shaft, and this compact planing boat is loaded with the engine 5 having a cylinder block 14 provided with cylinders in parallel with each other along the progressing directional axis of a hull. An intake device 15 is arranged at a side of the cylinder block 14, and a housing part 23 for the drive shaft 20 for driving an oil pump is arranged under the intake device 15, directing an oil filter 29 in the width direction of the hull.
