<p>An automatic musical composition method which generates automatically a BGM suitable for the atmosphere of dynamic images and a reproduction time for inputted dynamic images. Dynamic images are read (step 101) and are divided into cuts (step 102). The feature of each cut is extracted (step 103) and automatic musical composition parameters are determined from these features (step 104). A BGM is automatically composed by using these parameters and the reproduction time of the cuts (step 105), and the BGM so composed is outputted (step 106).</p> |
