<p>The flint wheel assembly consists of a central abrasive wheel (1) mounted on a transverse spindle (2) and having drive wheels on either side of it. Adjacent to each drive wheel (3) the assembly has a ring (5) of greater diameter which rotates freely on the spindle. The rings can be fixed to the driving wheels, and the latter can be toroidal, truncated conical or spherical in section. In addition, the abrasive wheel can have grooves covering only a part of its surface.</p> |
