The blocks are pressed into blanks from granular material in a manufacturing plant which has a number of parallel presses. The pressed blanks are loaded onto transfer trolleys (20) and moved onto a transfer platform on a transverse sliding table (10). This moves each blank charge into one of a number of autoclaves (12), which are arranged in front of the sliding tables, for heat treating. The finished hardened blocks are removed by the same transport system from the sliding table to the trolleys and are passed to a packaging and loading station. The trolleys are redistributed to the presses. The parallel presses are arranged next to the same sliding table arrangement and form standard blocks. A bypass line is also provided, which uses the same sliding table and autoclave, and which presses blocks custom designed for special purposes. |
