Holographic imaging using a lenticular screen

A holographic image is produced by placing a lenticular screen between a coherant light source and a recording medium during creation of the image. The resultant image can only be observed if viewed through an identical lenticular screen, but when so observed is clearer in poor lighting conditions than a conventional holographic image. A holographic image so produced can be used without the lenticular screen attached as a security device on a credit card or, with the lenticular screen attached, for advertising or decorative purposes. The lenticular screen may have a variable pitch or pattern of different sized lenses.
