The interchangeable container (3) is reinforced in its forward area on one side by a rigid wall (15). On the other side, viewed in cross-section, it is reinforced by a asymmetrical forming of the floor module (3.1). A bearing (12) to accommodate the container on the road vehicle is located in the region of the transition between the forward area and centre area in such a way that the length between this bearing and an additional bearing (14) provided at the rear end of the container comes to about 70-80 per cent of the overall length of the container.
