The device has sprung boot holder elements, and a piston and cylinder unit as hydraulic shock absorber. The absorber (5) contains a hydraulic medium, which is paste-like when at rest. Flexible seals increase the chamber volume, to compensate for temperature-related volume variations of hydraulic medium or hydraulic chambers. The spring device for the boot holder has a setting screw. This is formed by a threaded cylinder part (5') of the shock absorber, with outer thread for a fixed spring abutment (7). The piston rod (5") is coupled to the movable spring abutment (8). |
