PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording sheet forming a stable developed color image with sufficient dynamic developed color density by providing a thermal color forming layer based on a fluorane leuco dye and an org. developer and containing a specific sensitizer on a support. CONSTITUTION:Specified amounts of a fluorane leuco dye represented by formula I, an org. developer and at least one of 1,2-di(3-methylphenoxy)ethane, di(p- methylbenzyl)oxalate and 4-biphenyl p-tollyl ether being sensitizers are finely ground by a grinder such as a ball mill and a binder is compounded with the ground mixture to prepare a coating solution for a thermal color forming layer. This coating solution is applied to a support such as paper, synihetic paper or a plastic film and dried to form the thermal color forming layer to produce a thermal recording sheet. Further, an overcoat layer composed of a polymeric substance containing a filler can be provided on the thermal color forming layer for the purpose of enhancing preservability. A filler and a release agent such as metal salt of fatty acid can be added to the coating solution. |
