The invention consists of a fiber reinforced wooden hosel which can be incorpora ted into both wooden and composite hockey stick blades to act as the point of attachment of the blade to the hollow hockey stick shaft. This hosel has fiber reinforcement bonded to the enti re length of its primary load bearing sides, parallel to the faces of the blade.
