In a plug connector for coaxial cable with a corrugated outer conductor (3), a recess (115) in a plug body (13) receives the cable with a corrugated tube nut (12) thereon which may have an out-turned flange (122). A clamping screw cap (14) which may have an in-turned flange (141) can be tightened to drive the tube nut (12) a distance a from an assembled condition (figure 2) to a clamped condition (figure 3). The sleeve nut 912) is non-rotatably axially guided in the recess by cooperating profiles (118, 121). The distance a is defined by the leading edge of the cap (14) meeting resistance from an O-ring (15).
