A support for a garbage chute cleaning apparatus includes a cart having ground engaging wheels. Outrigger legs are provided for anchoring and providing lateral stability to the cart. A Counterweight is mounted to the cart opposite the remote end of the horizontal cross-beam. This provides a counterbalance to a garbage chute cleaning apparatus supported from the line at the remote end of the horizontal cross-beam.
