PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record not only the still picture of an object but also the conditions on that site while keeping portability by recording either the photographed still picture of a subject or its caught sound through a recording means at least. SOLUTION: When a user pushes a shutter 5, a CPU generates a signal to write data into a memory and generates an address signal for an address circuit at prescribed timing. Thus, on a memory card 2, image data are successively written in the address corresponding to the address signal from an address generating circuit for the image data area of the memory. Besides, an audio signal from a microphone is recorded on the memory card 2. Thus, with such an electronic still camera, when the shutter 5 is pushed, the subject is photographed as a still picture by a CCD, the sound is caught by the microphone, and they are respectively recorded on the memory card 2. |
