PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize a frequency band, which is used for a macro cell, for a microcell again when a code division multiple access(CDMA) system is applied to coexistent cell configuration. SOLUTION: A plurality of microcells are arranged in a macro cell 30. The macro cell and the microcells are principly formed to communicate with respective base stations while using respectively different frequency bands but at a microcell A31 away from a macro cell base station 35 longer than a distance D33 to repeat the same band, the use of the same frequency band as the macro cell is permitted. Thus, the capacity of an entire system can be increased without considerably degrading communication quality at the macro cell base station. In this case, at a microcell B32 closer than the distance D, only the frequency band for microcell is used. |
