REFLECTION TYPE OPTICAL SENSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflectin type optical sensor capable of setting a constant detection distance range without erroneously detecting an object outside the set detection distance range. SOLUTION: A luminous element 21 radiating light in the front and a reception means 31 for receiving light reflected from a detected body are provided and a detection distance range 50 where the existence of a measured object is detected by the incidence angle range 52 of light detectable with the reception element 31 and by the gap between the reception element 31 and the luminous element 21 are set. At the setting, the gap between the reception element 31 and the luminous element 21 are arranged widely so that the incidence angle range necessary for receiving the reflection light coming from the detection distance range with the reception element 31 becomes large.
