PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform processing of optimal route easily when the current position of a vehicle deviates from an optimal route by operating the distance from the optimal route to the current position. SOLUTION: A route extracting section 6A reads out information concerning to a detouring road designated by a driver and a jam road from a ground of RAMs 14 based on an output data from a route detecting section 5A and extracts an optimal route from the current position of a vehicle to a goal. A route guidance control section 17 determines the end of optimal route operation and operates the distance from a guiding route to the current position based on the output data from the extracting section 6A and a current position operating section 7A. The operation results is delivered, along with the current position of the vehicle, to a system control section 11. Based on the output data from the system control section 11, a display signal generating section 18 generates the current position of the vehicle, the goal and the optimal route from the current position of the vehicle to the goal on a map and presents them on a display section 10. |
