PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent lowering of an effective value of printing speed by decreasing the number of times of stop of printing by replenishment of ink by a method wherein ink is replenished to not only an ink reservoir in which an ink residual amount is detected to be decreased but also another ink reservoir until it reaches a specific residual amount. SOLUTION: Dissolved ink 3 is stored in reservoirs 111, 121 in printing head parts 11, 12, and ink residual amount sensors 812, 822 which detect an ink residual amount level being decreased, and ink residual amount sensors 811, 821 which detect a specific residual amount level are provided. Then, when either of the sensors 812, 822 detects trunning-out of ink, the printing head parts 11, 12 interrupt the printing, move to positions opposed to ink replenishing parts 21, 22 to stop there, send air to ink chambers 211, 221 in the ink replenishing parts 21, 22, and send ink 3 to the reservoirs 111, 121 until the sensors 811, 821 detect that ink exists. |
