摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain an engine in an drivable state as much as possible in a hybrid vehicle which has the engine and an electric motor as power sources for the running of the vehicle, a low voltage 1st power accumulation device which supplies powers to auxiliary machines for the engine driving, a high voltage 2nd power accumulation device which supplies a power to the electric motor and, further, a voltage conversion controller which permits the 2nd power accumulation device to charge the 1st power accumulation device. SOLUTION: If it is judged that the charge value SOC2 β a 2nd power accumulation device is smaller than a required value f3 which corresponds to a sufficient power to drive an engine in a step SA3, charging of a 1st power accumulation device by the 2nd power accumulation device is prohibited. With this constitution, even if the power of the 1st power accumulation device is consumed by the lighting of headlights, etc., the engine can be driven by supplying a power from the 2nd power accumulation device at the time of the engine start.
