VANE FOR FLUID FLOW DEVICE AND ITS MANUFACTURE/REPAIR METHODS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-erosion-resistant vane for a fluid flow device by bonding an erosion protective layer to the vane surface. SOLUTION: A vane body 2 manufactured is composed of laminate of a base layer 6 which is made of fiber reinforced plastics and at least one metal- covered layers 7 bonded to the vane surface partially or entirely as erosion protective layers. The metal-covered layer 7 has metal fibers or yam and is bonded with a synthetic resin bonding material which is the same material as the adjacent base layer 6 of the fiber reinforced plastics. The surface of the metal-covered layer 7 is covered with a protective layer.
