<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor damages done to a car for fun or a car theft without being discovered. SOLUTION: An on-vehicle monitor includes an image picking-up means 2 installed in the side mirror of an automobile, a distance measuring means 4 for measuring a distance to an object image-picked by this image picking-up means 2, a proximity determining means 6 for determining proximity between the object and the automobile based on information regarding the distance calculated by the distance measuring means 4 and a storing means 12 for storing image data obtained by the image picking-up means 2 when a specified fetched signal, is inputted. Side by side with the storing means 12, a fetching control means 10 is provided for outputting a fetching signal to the storing means 12 when proximity between the object and the automobile is determined by the proximity determining means 6. Further, side by side with the proximity determining means 6, an informing means 8 is provided for outputting an alarm to the outside when the proximity between the object and the automobile is determined by the proximity determining means 6.</p> |
