PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find the quantity of a protein in an unknown sample by an electrophoretic method by using an calibration curve indicating the relation between the absorbancy of a band and the quantity of the protein by preparing the curve by appropriately adjusting the mixing ratio of marker proteins having different molecular weights by paying attention to such a fact that the proteins show constant dye-affinities. SOLUTION: The molecular weight and/or quantity of a target protein are measured by comparing the concentrations of bands with each other visually or by means of a densitometer after dying markers composed of proteins which are adjusted to different concentrations and have different molecular weights by simultaneously subjecting the markers to electrophoresis with a protein sample to be analyzed (a mixture containing a single protein or a plurality of proteins). The markers having different molecular weights can be the mixtures of pA(AB)n having the repetitive structures of IgG binding domains A and B. |
