<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress magnetic flux loss and improve output efficiency by forming a layered core by sticking a plurality of core plates to each other with adhesive. SOLUTION: In the engine ignition coil device, a plurality of core plates 91 are stuck to each other with adhesive into a layered core 9. Further, the layered core 9, temporarily fixed with the adhesive, is forcibly inserted into a hollow shaft of a coil bobbin and completely fixed there. At this time, the core 9 may have an angular shape. Otherwise, the core 9 may comprise a plurality of core plates having different widths and have a substantially circular cross section, such that the core 9 is more firmly inserted into the hollow shaft of the coil bobbin, and the point moment is increased so as to increase the efficiency of occurrence of magnetic flux.
