PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the dimension in the depth direction of a cabinet for communication by wiring a cable in good order. SOLUTION: Telephone switchboards 41-1, 41-2 and 41-3 are arranged at distances C1 apart for the intervals between adjacent telephone switchboard cabinets, and the stud-shaped space between the adjacent telephone cabinets forms a vertical-tunnel-shaped cable duct 60. This cabinet device has shelf cable duct structures 50, extending latitudinally on the rear side at every shelf. The shelf cable duct structure 50 is of such constitution that two shelf cable ducts, each having such a form as that the width dimension becomes gradually narrower as it goes toward the mouth at the other end from the mouth at one end stand side by side, with their wide mouth and narrow mouth joined together. A cable 70 extends horizontally along the upper cable duct structure 45 of the telephone switchboard cabinet 41, and next extends longitudinally along longitudinal-tunnel-shaped cable ducts 60 and 61 and descends, and next extends horizontally within the shelf cable duct structure 50, and is connected with the connectors 27 at the rear surface of the shelves 42 and 43. |
