摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To verify the result of flaw detection from various angles by displaying the echo height in the plate-width direction indicated by a cursor on the basis of the two-dimensional flaw detecting image information, wherein the width direction and the longitudinal direction of a material under flaw detection obtained at every transmitting period are made to be the coordinate axes on a screen. SOLUTION: A plate-wave ultrasonic flaw detector has a flaw detecting device 100, a tire v/ probe, a data processor 300, an image processor 400 and the like. The data processor 300 has a control circuit 360 and the like. When the signal transmitted from the flaw detector 100 is received, the circuit 360 performs the conversion of this signal and outputs the signal to a control circuit 410 of the image processor 400. Furthermore, the data, which are compressed through data compressor circuits 320 and 330 in the plate-thickness direction and the longitudinal direction of the data processor 300, are stored into a memory A 340 (or a memory B 350) as the two-dimensional flaw detecting image information, wherein the width direction and the longitudinal direction of the material under flaw detection are the coordinate axes. The control circuit 410 reads the image data in real time from the memories A 340 and B 350 and displays the data on a CRT 440.
