PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to lessen the labor for writing timbre information at the time of event input by forming the timbre information corresponding to inputted velocity information, for example, decay information and writing this timbre information into a memory. SOLUTION: When the velocity information is inputted from an input means 1, the velocity information is transmitted to a writing control means 2. This writing control means 2 determines the timbre information, for example, decay information, corresponding to the velocity information. The determination of the value of decay includes a method for determining the value D of delay by equation: D=V.k (where V is the value of velocity data and (k) is a constant) or a method for determining the value of decay by a V-D conversion table stored in a ROM. The formed value of decay is automatically written into the memory 3. The labor for writing the timbre information at the time of inputting the event is, therefore, lessened. |
