It consists of a corrugated sheet of strong, flexible material with the general shape of an isosceles triangle with rounded vertices 2, 3, 4, the transverse anterior end 5 of which is arranged on a line which corresponds essentially to that which is included between the arch of the foot and the start of the toes and is slightly inclined upwards in the manner of a spatula 6. The inner end 7 has a first, arcuate portion 8, which is convex on its upper face, and the outer end 9 has a second, arcuate portion 10 which is also convex on its upper face and joined, with gradation, to the first arcuate portion 8, forming a lower concavity 11 for supporting the arch of the foot. The difference between the maximum height of the first arcuate portion 8 and the maximum height of the second arcuate portion 10 is between 3 and 6 millimetres. <IMAGE>
