The improvements relate principally to the incorporation into a tray-elevator arm 1 of a pair of auxiliary arms 10, 10', similar to the principal arm, coupled to the support 2 on the rotational shaft 3 of the principal arm 1, having at their free end an auxiliary support 11 which, forming a surface widening the principal support, holds the trays in a horizontal position at all times, having means for coupling and uncoupling between the principal arm 1 and the auxiliary arms 10, 10' to allow the auxiliary arm 10, 10' to carry out all its movements simultaneously and in synchronization with the principal arm or, alternatively, to remain immobile whilst the aforesaid principal arm 1 is displaced. <IMAGE>
