PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic video telephone set in which the stereoscopic video telephone set is not made large in size and a talker makes conversation while the sight line of the talker is in matching with that of the other party. SOLUTION: The stereoscopic video telephone set is provided with an image pickup section, an image display section 2 monitoring a picked-up portrait and a speech section 1 used to make communication in voice with an opposite party and sending/receiving the pickup information which are contained in a case placed on a desk top, and the image display section 2 is made up of a 3D liquid crystal display element adopting the image splitter system without eyeglass, and cameras 3L, 3R are arranged respectively to the left and right in the vicinity of the image display section 2 to pick up an image of a talker at a prescribed position based on a proper distance of distinct vision by the 3D liquid crystal display element. The talker synthesizes selectively the image pickup information picked up from left and right directions by the two cameras to obtain a front image of a face being a pseudo stereoscopic vision, the talker makes its sight line in matching with that of the opposite party and the picked-up image displayed on the image display section 2 is viewed stereoscopically and natural conversation is conducted. |
