Apparatus in which the stones/potatoes fall one by one onto the metal cover of a drum which carries a vibration sensor whose electrical variable signal is conveyed to a level discriminator of the electrical variable and whose amplified output acts on the shaft of a flap which rotates, the potato or stone falling through the hole created in its opening.
