<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the convenience of the system by making it possible to supply power to a peripheral device only by a parallel port. SOLUTION: The system is provided with a peripheral device connection discriminating means 200 for discriminating a peripheral device connected to the parallel port 70 and a power supplying means 210 for supplying power to the peripheral device through the port 70 when power supply is necessary in accordance with an instruction from the means 200. The means 200 includes a discrimination swtich FEET 13 to be turned on/off in accordance with a 2nd pin P24, and when the switch 13 is turned on, the state of a 1st pin P19 is transmitted as a discrimination signal. The means 210 includes a power supply switch FEET 14 allowed to be turned on/off in accordance with the discrimination signal transmitted when the switch 13 in the means 200 is turned on and supply power to a 3rd pin P20.</p> |
