N-Lauroyl-aminoacid cosmetic soothing agent

The cosmetic use of an N-acylated aminoacid of formula RCONH-CHR'-COOH (I) or its salt is claimed as a soothing agent. R-CO = 12C acyl, preferably lauroyl, R' = side chain of the aminoacid. Also claimed are: cosmetic soothing compositions containing (I) (and/or its salt) in combination with (i) dipotassium glycyrrhizinate or alpha -bisabolol or (ii) at least one mineral element (preferably potassium or magnesium); and cosmetic compositions containing (I) (and/or its salt) in combination with a cosmetic active agent (II) with can cause neuro-sensitive reactions in the skin.
