Clamping device for two separable machine parts

The device has a housing arranged in a first machine part or is formed by it. An axially displaceable clamp part (4b) is aligned with the central axis (A) in the housing, at the free end of which are axially spaced cones (6,7). The free end of the clamp part supports a number of clamp claws (8). The free end of the clamp part and the claws can be moved so far away from a rest position, in which they are completely inside the housing, that the clamp part moves some way out of the housing and into an engagement part (20) until the inner clamp surfaces (12) of the clamp claws locate on a first clamping flank (18). In this movement, the outer clamping surfaces (13) reach the area of a second clamping flank (21). With a further outward movement, the clamp part (4) is displaceable relative to the clamping claws. The cones are so aligned to the central axis that the further movement of the clamp claws moves the cones radially outwards in the clamping position.
