The upwardly located pockets are filled by the incoming material column. By rotation, the pockets are emptied on reaching the outlet aperture and then move again into the filling zone. The sealing of the filling to emptying zone is by sealing components (4,5) on the housing. The limiting of the pockets from one another is by lamellae. When the rotor is at rest, the lamellae are always located on the sealing component. An indicator on the rotor shaft is addressed and produces a signal relating to the corresponding lamella position. It is possible for several sealing components to be used, so that several lamellae can contribute to the sealing.
