The cladding panels (1) are used for decorating facades of buildings. The panels are designed to lock together at the edges using tongue-and-groove joints. The panels may be square or rectangular and may have a square-section rib (3) projecting from two adjacent sides. The other two adjacent sides are cut away to form grooves (2), into which the ribs on adjacent panels can project. Square panels are symmetrical about one of the diagonals (6).
