Servo-drive for shaft setting

The drive involves motor (4) and drive shaft (7) with a profiled end to locate on to a corresponding profile on the end of the driven shaft. An outer sleeve (9) locates the two shaft ends axially and allows some axial play in the coupling. The driven shaft is fitted with a contact switch to monitor the angular settings of the shaft. The outer sleeve has a chamfered input end for ease of locating over the end of the driven shaft. The motor mounting flange is secured on a fixed flange (14) with a limited amount of rotation in either direction. This movement is limited by pins (20) on the fixed plate locating in slots in the motor flange.
