Phase controlled antenna for radar device

The antenna has several transmission and reception radiator elements (ST) arranged in several lines, or in a matrix configuration. The elements are connected to respective transmission/reception modules (SE). These modules are mounted on one side of a metallic carrier plate (TR) in thermal contact with the plate, with at least two hollow metal waveguides (HO) on the opposite side of the carrier plate, which are coupled to the modules via high frequency (HF) connections. The radiator elements are attached to the waveguides on the opposite side to the carrier plate and covered by a foil (FO) which is transparent to electromagnetic radiation.
