Tilting device for a vehicle (1) with a tiltable cab (21). The tilting device comprises a double-acting hydraulic cylinder (6) in the cylinder chamber (11) of which a tube (17), which is fixedly connected to the cylinder base (9) and from there extends in the direction of the cylinder head (10) is provided. The piston rod (7) is provided with a blind bore (18), which is open at the cylinder-base-side end of the piston rod (7) and extends in the direction of the other end of the piston rod (7), the tube projecting into the blind bore (18) in the piston rod (7) and being in communication with the chamber delimited by sealing means (19) and the blind bore in the piston rod.
